Today's Italian Grand Prix in Monza saw Juan Pablo Montoya take the chequered flag in the McLaren-Mercedes, while Fernando Alonsoin the Renault finished second, and Alonso's teammate Giancarlo Fisichella finished in third. Jenson Button in the B.A.R-Honda finished in eighth place, while my favourite driver, Jacques Villeneuve finished in eleventh in the Sauber-Petronas.
Alonso now has a 27-point lead in the world championship with four races left. I'd really love to see the race tighten between Alonso and his nearest challenger, Kimi Raikkonen in the McLaren-Mercedes. Since Michael Schumacher will not be winning the championship this year, having a close race would be the icing on the cake.
The next race is next Sunday with the Belgian Grand Prix at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Spa-Francorchamps.
