For the second straight race, a driver won his first race with Felipe Massa winning today's Turkish Grand Prix just outside of Istanbul in the Ferrari. Championship leader Fernando Alonso finshed second in the Renault allowing his lead in the title race to increase with Michael Schumacher's third place finish in the other Ferrari. Jenson Button finished fourth in the Honda.
The race was pretty entertaining (a lot like last year's inaugural race in Turkey) with a good battle for second between Alonso and Schumacher with a dozen laps to go. I was disappointed to hear that Red Bull has decided to drop Christian Klien next year in favour of current Williams driver Mark Webber. Sure, Klien hasn't exactly lit up the F1 circuit this year, but Webber is lowsy in comparison. I certainly hope Klien is picked up by another team for next year. I've also heard that he might race in Champ Car here in North America under Red Bull sponsorship.
The next race will be in two weeks time with the Italian Grand Prix at Monza.
