Fernando Alonso won yesterday's European Grand Prix which was held at the Nurburgring in Germany in the McLaren-Mercedes while Alonso's teammate Lewis Hamilton broke his string of nine straight podium finishes with a ninth place finish. Felipe Massa finished second in the Ferrari, while Mark Webber finished third in the Red Bull. Massa's teammate Kimi Raikkonen scored a DNF, along with Jenson Button in the Honda.
With the results, Lewis Hamilton remains on top of the standings with 70 points, Fernando Alonso at 68 points, Felipe Massa at 59 points, and Kimi Raikkonen at 52 points. The next race will be the Hungarian Grand Prix in two weeks time at the Hungaroring in Budapest.
