
Sebastian Vettel won today's Australian Grand Prix in the Red Bull with Lewis Hamilton in the McLaren-Mercedes finishing second and Vitaly Petrov in the Renault rounding out the podium by finishing third.
Fernando Alonso in the Ferrari finished fourth, Vettel's teammate Mark Webber finished fifth, Hamilton's teammate Jenson Button finished sixth, Alonso's teammate Felipe Massa finished seventh, Sebastien Buemi in the Toro Rosso finished eighth, Adrian Sutil and Paul Di Resta in the Force India finished ninth and tenth respectively.
The defending World Champion won the 58-lap dash through Albert Park in Melbourne with relative ease making the race a boring one but it was nice to drivers such as Buemi and Di Resta (who made his F1 debut) finish in the points.
The results leave Vettel in the lead with 25 points, Hamilton with 18, Petrov with 15, Alonso with 12, Webber with 10, Button with 8, Massa with 6, Buemi with 4, Sutil with 2, and Di Resta with 1.
In terms of the Constructor's Championship, Red Bull have 35 points, McLaren-Mercedes have 26, Ferrari have 18, Renault have 15, Toro Rosso have 4, and Force India have 3.
The next race is the Malaysian Grand Prix at the Sepang Circuit in Kuala Lampur in two weeks' time.
