Lewis Hamilton won today's Chinese Grand Prix at Shanghai in the McLaren with the Red Bulls of Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber finishing second and third respectively. Webber had started the race from eighteenth on the grid.
Hamilton's teammate Jenson Button finished fourth, Nico Rosberg finished fifth in the Mercedes, the Ferraris of Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso finished sixth and seventh respectively, Rosberg's teammate Michael Schumacher finished eighth, Vitaly Petrov finished ninth in the Renault, while Kamui Kobayashi rounded out the points in the Sauber by finishing tenth.
Hamilton ended up winning late in the race by passing Vettel on the 52nd lap out of 56 while Hamilton's teammate made a boneheaded move during the pit stops by stopping in front of the Red Bull garage. Perhaps he still thought he was World Champion. Nevertheless, I really don't know what was going through his mind when he decided to do that.
The results leave Vettel still in the championship lead with 68 points, Hamilton with 47, Button with 38, Webber with 37, Alonso with 26, Massa with 24, Petrov with 17, Heidfeld with 15, and Rosberg with 10. Red Bull maintain their lead in the Constructor's race with 105 points, McLaren with 85, Ferrari with 50, Renault with 32, and Mercedes with 16.
The next race will be in three weeks time with the Turkish Grand Prix at Istanbul. On to Turkey.
