Fernando Alonso won the 64th Monaco Grand Prix this morning in the Renault. Juan Pablo Montoya finished second in the McLaren-Mercedes, while David Coulthard in the Red Bull finished third. Jenson Button finished eleventh in the Honda, and Jacques Villeneuve finished fourteenth in the BMW-Sauber.
The Monaco Grand Prix is one of my favourite races on the race calendar (the other being the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal) because the circuit is pretty challenging, where one little mistake can cost you the race since there are no grass run-offs where you can recover from mistakes as is the case in other races. The 78-lap dash though the streets of Monte Carlo is always a thrill and look forward to the 65th Monaco Grand Prix next year.
