

Kimi Raikkonen won today's Brazilian Grand Prix in the Ferrari, and with it the World Championship after starting the race in third place in the driver's championship. Raikkonen's teammate Felipe Massa finished second, while Fernando Alonso finished third in the McLaren-Mercedes. Alonso's teammate Lewis Hamilton finished seventh even though he led the championship when he started the race. Nick Heidfeld finished sixth in the BMW, while Jenson Button in the Honda scored a DNF with engine failure on lap 21.
The final championship had Kimi Raikkonen with 110 points, Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso both with 109 points, and Felipe Massa with 94 points.
